Musty Smell In House How Do You Get A Musty/mildew Smell Out Of A Washer And Dryer?

How do you get a musty/mildew smell out of a washer and dryer? - musty smell in house

A friend gave us his 4 years old washing machine and dryer and had a musty smell in both. I washed a minimum of 10 loaded cars and the smell is still there. I have even used bleach. All the clothes I washed the clothes dryer with a damp smell, which was sitting for a few days in the washing machine. Suggestions?

Try to get the washer with nothing in it and the addition of chlorine, a big part of it and let the cycle twice. You can also flush anything there has good taste. Check the lines, but to ensure that no mold on them, but as he said, the dryer is the same problem, which needs only air and bring the smell. Let's wash it in towels and even outside of the ring and throw them in the dryer and had it for a while, only 2 towels so that you can smell is still enough air. Then out of the dryer and let the fresh air. It also uses a soft ball, which really helps to keep your clothes smelling fresh. Last thought ... Have you got your laundry detergent lately. Perhaps you have a bad grade, or just a bad box. Fluffy or Tide with Febreze smells really good.

Check all water connections and hoses ... to see if you are selling a product mold Removel the stores like Home Depot and they can buy ... throurly Clean your washing machine and ... Maybe they need to decompose! if they do not work make sure you leave your laundry in the washing machine for a long time! it will only increase the musty smell!
Good luck

You can have up front and see if there is something stuck. We had to be a problem with the mouse to the proper functioning of our washing machine. Never was stuck there, but if you have a funny smell you never know.

Try a load with no more than bleach and hot water during a cycle, and you can do the same for the dishwasher

Are you looking to see if plant pipe, joints or edges of the tank is rusted and needs replacing.
